What’s the best way to travel?

It’s about time I got myself a good ole vacation and for me it’s the best way to travel. A trip focused on food! My friend and I are going to New York city after a pit stop concert with our favorite band in the world, Parkway Drive.

We don’t have an agenda, just a list of things we would like to try. Once we land it’s off to the races. We walk all day and even go for some runs. We burn the calories, so we can eat the calories. The goal, walk and try as many different food items as we can. I feel bad I didn’t get to try a dirty water dog the last time I was in the big apple.

I can’t wait to try the halal food carts, the pizza, the dogs, the Chinese food and much more. Not only does the city give me a boost of action I never get to see. It also lets me explore the foods I don’t usually have at home. Some people like slow vacations with relaxing beaches. I live in a small town in the mountains. My vacation is action and movement.

I let my friend do all the planning on possible spots. I’m not picky. We have a scheduled tasting menu, a new high rise building we get to explore, a few museums, dim sum and much more. We even have a 6 mile run around central park. I can’t wait to go. I’ll write a blog about my favorite foods when I get back.

Next time you plan a vacation just jump right in. Don’t over schedule, don’t overthink and don’t fret. Have fun, try the food and enjoy good company. Who knows, maybe it’s just what the soul needed.
