It’s almost the end of my travels tomorrow I head back home. To say I got to try a lot would be an understatement.
Japanese, Italian, Indian and Chinese just to name a few. Among that we tried 5 different types of pizza and one dirty water dog. For me a few things stood out.
Japanese takoyaki was one, the mixture of the fried ball, mayo and takoyaki sauce made an excellent combo on the octopus.
Crispy duck breast was next with green mole, blueberry chutney and micro cilantro. The crispy bite of the duck mixed with the softness of the meat was a match made in heaven.
Last was a boa bun with a sweet pineapple crust and roasted pork. Very sweet and large chunks of melt in your mouth pork. It was perfect to walk the streets of Manhattan.
I could write a book about all the food we tried but that is for another post and another time. New York was a success in terms of food and the 15 miles average we walked daily.
