Just a little run

I went for a run today, just a little 5-mile trail run.

Ive noticed throughout my running the little changes my body has made to adapt to the pain and distance. My cadence, or the steps I take, is almost exactly 160 steps per minute. I also now know when to slow myself down for future hills or downhills. I could run endlessly at this point. The pain doesn’t matter, I know it will leave with time. When the body goes numb you’ve hit a zen like euphoria. The runners high is insane once you get it. You adrenaline kicks in and you can go as long as you need. The human body was made to run.

I went for a little run today through the woods. Today was a good day.
