I’ve been playing chess for a while now. I haven’t really jumped far into learning about chess and now that I have, it has totally changed the game for me.
It started with my first lesson. I didn’t slow it down or get an understanding of what I was really learning. I jumped through it quickly. Now however I take time to learn each opening, Learn each term and rule. I had a game that made me realize I was on the right track.
I was able to play someone and guess their moves based on the knowledge I’ve learned while playing. I knew that based on how I moved my pieces it would influence them into making a fatal error. That they did. I was able to check mate because of my knowledge of player moves. Moves in the game and time spent practicing each move. It was eye opening and rewarding knowing I had played the moves based on my practice and time put in.
It made me realize I need to take time to really learn in this life. I need to take every moment and slow it down. If something is overly difficult I’m doing something wrong in the execution. By slowing down the practice, memorizing the pattern and adjusting to the difficulty I was able to succeed. Maybe that’s the secret to life. Keep learning because you never know what you’ll find. It could be the game winning chess move.
