To live unknowingly?

Another short little life update. Outside of chess which I play quite often. Im now learning to play league of legends which is a very competitive game. My best friend happens to be a very high elo or level in the game. He’s in diamond which puts him in the top 2-3% of players. He’s been coaching me on how to get better at the game. It’s very difficult as the game requires a lot of knowledge around tactics not readily available for study. Everything he watches my clips he tells me how to improve something I didn’t think about.

I believe this is the perfect metaphor for life. I work with people daily they come to me for financial help, business help and all around knowledge on making large life purchases. What I realize is most people aren’t dumb to the situation they have a lack of knowledge of the background mechanics. Like league, you only improve if you are willing to seek that higher knowledge. What do the pros know that I dont? Well if finances and home purchase and budgeting all require higher knowledge. You dont know your credit score if you never thought to look. Its interesting that lots of simple or what I find to be simple thoughts of my life are hidden to most people. Not from lack of intelligence but lack of education to look for them. In my opinion it brings up a good philosophical thought is it better to live in blissful ignorance or trapped understanding. If I never knew how hard league was, id never worry about reaching to higher levels and id enjoy the game as simply a game. Yet, the only way to improve is to have this higher understanding. Even if that understanding means im at the bottom of the pool.

Remember to check your credit, watch your finances, budget for a greater future and dont fret the small stuff. Thanks for reading my little rant. Happy Saturday!
