Housed and Fed

Today I get to see an animal I’ve always enjoyed. The wild Hyrax. I’ve only ever seen them on Instagram but today i get to see them in person. It’s my sister’s birthday wish for me to see them as I sit in my favorite Hyrax shirt. As I’ve watched my little sister grow I never really put together how alike we are. She thinks about others, is considerate and feels bad when she lets them down. She only wants what’s best for all. As is her birthday wish, just for her brother to see some hyraxes. I’m proud to see the life she lives now. The job, the location, the people. Things I never thought she’d be a part of and maybe she never thought she’d be a part of either. She likes to live for others but her best life was created on her own. Happy Birthday, love you and keep on being you!
