Believe

Tell me more about this medium you spoke with. It was amazing she made me a believer in a higher power. Really? She made you believe in a higher power. Yes, you know me. I’m not religious and I didn’t believe in god but now I’m questioning everything. What did she do that was so amazing? First I gave her no information. I’m a skeptic. I didn’t want her taking what I said and making a story. Good mediums do that is what ive heard. Yeah, ive heard the same but she instead just held my hand. What did she say? She guessed with pinpoint accuracy everyone who has died in my life. People I cared deeply for. And you didn’t tell her any of this information before? No, I’m telling you I just sat in front of her. You believe she got the people correct? She didn’t just ask about family members till she got you to say yes? No, I’m telling you she named them by name and then she spoke like them. Spoke like them? Yes, the same pauses they would use the same word cadence, the same vernacular. She spoke and sounded like she’d known them her entire life. The messages were messages each one would say. She told me things I had never told anyone else before. Things I only told those who have passed. She called it the spirit, a realm of all energy that she can grasp. She gets messages meant for whoever sits across from her. It was so accurate I’m scared, I now believe there’s more to this world then i once thought. He set the cup of coffee back down on the desk. His coworker Sandra looked at him, his mind now deep in thought at the words she just said. She wasn’t a liar and she wouldn’t pull your leg, she was being honest. Jim stood up and walked back to his desk across the aisle of cubicles. He sat down and as he did a new email popped up on his email. An email from a sender he didn’t recognize. Not supposed to open it but curiosity gripped him because the subject was: are you in need of a medium? Jim felt a shiver run down his spine. He looked around the office. Ok, it’s just a recommendation, you know our devices are listening. He opened the email and it read:

Hi Jim,

Good conversation you had with Sandra. Do you believe it now?
