I’m sitting listening to Si Te Pillara by Beéle the song tickles my drunk brain as I sit at the airport bar. I’m going to miss Miami, I know this already. The streets and buildings take me back to a place I never thought I’d miss, let alone know. A place I never knew existed. I’m blessed in life with the ability to travel, meet new people, and have new business adventures. This week, I met my best friend, and we snorkled in the Florida Keys, kayaked in the mangroves, and got spooked by a gator in the Everglades. After I went to a conference where I met with developers and discussed housing issues. This is after learning that I was nominated and picked to be awarded for my work in my community. I sit here and have the world at my fingertips, and yet I still feel lost. Like the questions are there, and I dont have the answers. I try to find solace in past thoughts. I met some wonderful ladies, one of them a Peruvian and we went to a high-end Peruvian restaurant. The ceviche, pisco sour, causa, and my favorite cusquena beer brought back memories. I loved them so much and still do, I guess I will forever. Now I’m stuck in Denver my flight got delayed due to weather so I missed my plane. I ran to reach it just like I ran to the past thoughts in my head. I feel like life has a funny way of always being just a little bit delayed. Just like my plane, I missed it by just a few minutes. I have to smile at the thought. The song tickles my brain, and the memories eat it away. Life isn’t about the past. It really isn’t about the future. It’s about being here now, for that’s all I can do.
